It was perhaps unfair to lead you to this page as 'cure', because that is seldom an option for the common nosebleed. I would have liked to have heard a doctor say that my nosebleed troubles could be stopped forever with a little medical intervention, but that was not the case. There are a number of Causes listed in that section, however (such as high blood pressure or clotting problems with the blood), which if brought under control may seem like a complete cure for the nosebleed symptom.
Anyone with significant nosebleed problems in frequency or severity should see their family doctor and be referred to an ENT specialist if the cause is not obvious. In the majority of cases, nosebleeds are something that are not life-threatening and just need to be controlled, but only in some cases are fully cured by a medical intervention.
In rare cases there may be a physical cause or abnormality that could or should be treated, possibly by surgery. An examination by a specialist and possible further testing, if warranted, will indicate if there is a treatable problem.
