For most of my life, nosebleeds were something that my children occasionally got-- their nose seeped, they pinched it for a while, and it stopped. Unexpectedly several years ago, I had one myself, then another and another. Though the first had seeped, subsequent ones flowed heavily and refused to stop for half-hours or more.I found their unpredictablity and difficulty to control traumatic. While struggling to bring the situation under control, and in several years since, I sought out advice on nosebleeds, and tried various recommendations for control.
I am not a doctor, and this is not official medical advice. My family doctor inspected the page, and with a couple of corrections to spellings of medical terms, indicated that it was sound advice. If you are concerned as I was (and still am) about nosebleeds, there are some ideas and techniques that I found helpful. I managed to go three years without any after my initial trouble, and have just had the rare flare-up since. If you are doing nothing at the moment to alleviate your problem, some of these ideas will make quite a difference for you.
